Do I need an appointment?
Not always — but we definitely recommend reaching out ahead of time if you want the smoothest, easiest experience and less waiting around. Just contact us via call or text at 573.745.0871 during normal boutique hours!
How long does the experience take?
The actual iris photo itself only takes a few minutes! Total time depends on how many people are participating. Some guests may take a little extra time getting the perfect shot, and things like keeping the eye open, sensitivity to light, or tiny adjustments can add a few extra moments. But don’t worry, we guide you through the whole process to make it easy and comfortable!
What exactly do I get?
Our base experience includes your iris photography session plus one professionally edited final digital copy sent to you after your image is finished and polished up.
What is a digital file?
It’s a high-quality digital image of your finished iris artwork, delivered straight to your email — perfect for saving, sharing, and obsessing over!
Do you change my eye color?
Nope — that’s not the point and honestly your real eye is the coolest part! The goal is to bring out the natural beauty, detail, color, and texture that’s already there.
Can couples or families do this together?
Yes! That’s one of the fun parts. We can create duo, trio, and multi-iris artwork depending on what kind of final piece you’re wanting.
Do you offer private events, pop-ups, or travel?

Does everyone need to be there in person?
Yes — each person has to be photographed in person so we can capture their actual iris for the final artwork.
Is it safe?
Yes. It’s quick, non-invasive, and there’s no contact with your eye. It’s not painful at all — just a short moment of holding still while we capture the image.
Can I wear contacts?
Soft or daily contacts can stay in, but hard lenses are better removed first. If someone has super specific eye concerns, it’s always smartest to play it safe and ask before the session. We have contact cases and solution available if you need to remove your lenses during your appointment!
Is there a minimum age?
Little ones are absolutely welcome to join the experience! We typically recommend starting around age 5, since it’s easier when guests can sit still and look where needed during the photo process.
Do you offer prints or physical products?
Yes — prints, specialty products, and add-ons are available separately if you want to turn your iris art into something extra special.
Can I gift this to someone?
Yes, and honestly… it’s such a good gift. If you want to gift the experience, message us and we’ll help you figure out the cutest way to do it.
How long do print orders take?
Timing can vary depending on what’s ordered. Digital artwork takes 2–3 business days to edit. Once your final image is complete, most of our in-house print options can be ready within about 1 additional day! Timing may vary slightly depending on what you choose, and as we continue to expand into larger or specialty finishes, some pieces may require a bit more time — but we’ll always keep you in the loop.
Can I change my order later?
Once a custom order is fully in motion, changes can get tricky, so we always recommend double-checking your choices before everything is finalized.
What is your return policy?
The Look at You Iris Photography Experience is all about turning your one-of-a-kind eye into a piece of art. Because each image is completely custom and made just for you, all sales are final and we’re unable to offer returns or refunds.
Do you photograph pet irises?
Not right now — but never say never because that would be iconic.
